This last week has been busy with tending to my cat, going to Dallas to see an animal specialist; so I haven’t had time to do any new articles, although I’m thinking of things all the time. Pondering things that bother me.
But now, I think I might have found an answer to my pondering. I should have stayed with the dream of wanting to be a scientist when I grew up – but I didn’t. Oh well.
Anyway, what’s been bothering me is the weird notion of quantum entanglement, other dimensions, time, and that quantum particles can be in TWO different places AT THE SAME TIME. I am finding this hard to believe. Anyone else?
I think the experts are missing something here. Something big. And here’s my theory.
First, our eyes. Our eyes didn’t always see in 3 dimensions. At first, way back when we were just starting out as life, eyes eventually developed, but only to see light. A fraction of light that we see today. Eventually, as evolution goes, we developed more to our eyes and began to see more and more light. The survival of the fittest and all that. Eventually, our eyes developed the ability to see not just light, but length of light as well. And then millions of years later, we could see light, its length, and its height. Then more millions of years, we then developed perception of depth. Now we could see all three dimensions. Then we added colors, peripheral vision and zooming in and out and so on.
And do we really see all three dimensions? No, we don’t see all 3 dimensions at the same time. We just recognize all 3 dimensions. For instance, I’m looking at a table 10 feet in front of me. It is hexagonal in shape. I can clearly see the part of the table that is facing me. I can see how high it is. And I can see that it has depth to it. But I can’t see the other side of the table. I would have to get up and walk around the table to see the other side. But I know that there is another side to the table, because I can see, and my brain interprets, that the object is a 3-dimensional object. But I can’t see the whole table all at the same time.
The point here, is that our environment has been in 3D all along, but we couldn’t always see in 3D. We’ve evolved eyes that allows us to see the world around us. But what if there are more dimensions that our eyes or brains, haven’t evolved the ability to see or interpret yet? What if there is no need to see more dimensions?
We evolve due to needing more advantages to procreate, gather food, shelter, and so forth. Maybe 3 dimensions has all that’s been needed so far. And our eyes have stopped evolving? Possible, right?
So given this fact, that we see all 3 dimensions, seems to point to the possibility that ALL dimensions may be the same size as our 3 dimensions. Who says that the other dimensions out there have to be all curled up and tiny and microscopic? I don’t. I think all dimensions are the same size, we just haven’t evolved the ability to see them yet. We haven’t needed to so far. We’ve evolved without the need for another dimension.
Now, if all dimensions are the same size, that would mean that they are all around us. And that means that we should be able to find evidence of that fact. Somehow, someway. Maybe we could train our eyes and brains to think differently. That would take a long time though. Even from birth, all events and happenings are input into our brains in 3D. The result is our brains think in 3D, and haven’t needed to think in higher dimensional perspectives yet. Our eyes only see in 2D, but our brains interpret in 3D. We don’t have a choice from the time we are born to think in any other way but 3D. Too bad.
So then I think about the fact that quantum physicists say that quantum particles, like quarks, can be in two places at the same time. Okay, I disagree with this. They are missing something. And then I think about string theory and brane theory.
Brane (short for membrane) is the theory that each universe in the multiverse is a brane. All the universes are made up of branes. And each brane has its own rules of physics and different dimensions. So a parallel world could be 5 dimensions with completely different laws of physics. And another brane just like ours, 3 dimensional, but different laws of physics. And there are a gazillion branes out there.
What if that is wrong? What if each universe is not a brane, but each DIMENSION is a brane? And each dimensions (or brane) has its own dimension of time? This would make sense. And it would solve a lot of problems – for instance, particles that are in two places at the same time. And other things, like psychics and ghosts even. I’ll explain.
Let’s say that the length brane has its own time dimension. And height brane has its own time dimension. And so does the depth brane. Now, all these branes are in tune with each other – perfectly. All synchronized in perfect harmony. All at the exact same frequency, including the time dimensions as well. That’s why we can see all 3 dimensions at the same time.
Now when we look at some object, we are seeing that object all at the same time and with all 3 dimensions at the same place.
What if there are times when these dimensions get OUT of sync with each other? And what if the branes can all be in sync but the time dimensions are OUT of sync?
Think about this. That would explain a lot.
First, take quantum particles being in two different places at the same time. If the branes were out of sync just ever so slightly but their respective time dimensions were in sync, those quantum particles would appear to us as being in two different places at the same time. Only the PLACE would be out of sync. Exactly as we see observe today. Our eyes would see two different places. We can’t see the different time dimensions, we think there is only one time, but different places. The particles aren’t actually in two different places, it just appears that way. They are actually in one place at the same time – just the branes are out of sync. So when we look at them, the ever so slight difference in frequency is enough to give the illusion of being in two different places even though all time dimensions are synced. Does that make sense?
Second, the weirdness of quantum entanglement. The experts say that reality isn’t real until someone actually observes it. Okay, this could be explained as well if dimensions were branes and each had their own time. All dimensions could have the possibility (or probability) of being in any place and at any time until someone looks their way. Then, and only then, do the branes become synced in frequency (or tuned)- both in time and in place. For instance, in our universe, there may be 10 dimensions to it, but we can only observe 3 of those 10 dimensions, so only 3 become synced. Other dimensions may or not be synced. Since they only become synced when observed, we have to look at them to sync them. We haven’t evolved to be able to observe the other dimensions – so they remain un-synced. Current thinking has each entire universe as a brane with its own frequency in a multiverse. And we also observe the phenomenon of particles being in two different places at the same time. How can we have both? It doesn’t make sense. It doesn’t seem right that you have a universe like ours, in 3 dimensions, that all exist in 3 dimensions, but then have some particles that have the probability of being in an entangled state until observed. And have the other dimensions all curled up around us hidden. Currently, we have different laws of physics for the macro world and the micro world. And that is the problem (and the holy grail) for physicists today. Getting the two laws of physics to come together as one. This would solve the problem. It isn’t two laws of physics. But one law that effects everything – no matter what the size of the object. Each dimension is a brane with its own time – not the entire universe.
Third, the fascinating topic of ghosts. If indeed each brane has its own time dimension – then this could explain most of the paranormal and supernatural realm. Paranormal activity we observe is nothing more than the time dimensions of each brane being out of sync with each other. We see the same place and the same events that took place in the “past” – only because time is out of sync. This would be a normal event. Nothing supernatural about it. How the time dimensions become out of sync is the mystery here. But nonetheless, still explained by my brane theory. And would also explain the infrequency of sightings of ghosts. And explain how some interaction can take place. The “ghosts” would also see us and hear us. So they could interact with us. They would be just as surprised and disturbed by the situation as well.
Fourth, psychic ability. I’m not much of a believer of psychic ability – but what if it were real? Then the information that psychics claim to get, basically out of thin air, could be explained by my brane and time dimension theory – maybe. If both branes and their time dimensions were out of sync, bleeding in and out of sync, then it could explain how someone, with a special ability, could latch onto that information. Even see visions. How? you might ask. Well, I had to think about this one. Remember that the past is really branes and its time that is no longer in sync with each other. It has already happened, and we can’t observe the past anymore to re-sync them back. What if some people, a few people mind you, had some way of tapping into the past dimensions and very briefly re-sync the dimensions? Or see bits and pieces of the shadow of past synced dimensions? Maybe they could just tap the time dimensions somehow, and only see a few seconds of something from the past in that time – but not the place? I know that is a real stretch. And I don’t have this one all worked out about how – but the possibility is there, I think.
What about time slips? Could time slips or time shifts be explained by my theory as well? If the branes’ time were out of sync, but the brane itself were in sync – could that explain how some experience time slips, places from the past appearing now, or objects to be out of place in time? Just like above for paranormal activity, time being out of sync would cause objects, people, even buildings, to be misplaced in time – but still remain in the same place. This is much like the descriptions and stories of time slips. If the brane was out of sync and time in sync, may explain how some objects could be embedded in places from long ago. Like a nail clearly man-made but found in an Egyptian pyramid for instance. An object from our time in a “place” that is just out of sync with the time of that “place”.
Anyway, the holy grail of physics is to reconcile the observations and laws of physics of the macro world with the micro world. And instead of saying the ENTIRE universe is one big brane – I think that each dimension is the brane, and each brane has its own dimension of time. It could explain quantum entanglement, quantum particles in two places at the same time, it would be one law of physics for any size particle, and could explain the realm of the paranormal in many ways.
As I’ve stated many times, I am not a scientist. I am no expert on the subject of string theory, brane theory, or quantum theory. I just listen to the latest, read the latest, and study the latest theories. And I know for a fact that even the experts don’t know it all. It seems they get slapped in the face on a weekly basis when something new is found, and is unexpected. And they currently have two laws of physics and are scrathing their heads to get them reconciled. So this is just my wild theories and basically my way of thinking out loud.
So do I have a possible workable theory here? Or am I diving into an empty pool?
