This week’s new episode took the Ghost Adventures crew to Los Angeles, California to the Pico House Hotel. This episode aired January 7, 2011 on the Travel Channel.

And we got a treat this week, with featured guests accompanying Zak, Nick, and Aaron during the investigation.

Guests included none other than Kane Hodder, who played “Jason” in the Friday the 13th movies. R.A. Mihailof, who played “Leatherface” in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies. And Stuntman Rick MacCullum joined in as well. These three guys, very big, tough guys, also formed “The Hollywood Ghost Hunters”.

This was a great investigation, with both teams who ended up working very well with each other.

The Pico House Hotel has never been investigated before, until now. The GA crew were the first. And the Pico House Hotel didn’t disappoint. Known for Los Angeles’ bloodiest riot, in 1871, 19 people got killed during a riot which became known as the Chinese Massacre. A police officer got killed, during a fight between two Chinese groups. This set the riot off, the community itself took action that resulted in the riot. There could also be more undocumented deaths from the Pico House Hotel from its history.

During the night’s lockdown, plenty of evidence was captured, validating that the Pico House Hotel is indeed haunted.

Several spikes in the EMF were documented. Several EVP’s were captured and analyzed. The GA crew even captured what sounds like two ghosts having a conversation with each other. It was truly amazing. It takes, we assume, a lot of energy for a ghost to manifest or manipulate voice recorders to the point we can actually hear it. So catching a conversation is quite rare.

Footsteps were heard, all felt like energy was being drawn from them (in the form of simultaneous goose bumps), and several cold spots seemed to manifest.

Zak also captured a shadow figure when taking photographs off the entire hotel. You can clearly see a shadow figure walk past a second floor window, in three separate consecutive photos. The third photo shows the shadow figure completely gone. Really cool stuff. And definite evidence that something walks among us that we can’t see.

It was a great episode to watch, with the Hollywood Ghost Hunters joining the hunt for evidence of the paranormal with the Ghost Adventures crew. Keep up the good work guys.

Next week, the Ghost Adventures hunt ghosts at the Goldfield Hotel – for a second time. They did a lockdown there in 2004. Now they return for more.

Until then, keep on ghost hunting.
